Sunil Ambekar, Head of the RSS National Media and Publicity Department, shared insights at the ‘Delhi Festival 2026’ on the Sangh’s 100-year journey. He emphasized that even a small percentage of the population volunteering could bring about significant positive changes in society.
Reflecting on the Sangh’s history, Ambekar highlighted Dr. Keshav Hedgewar’s dedication to nationalism and vision for post-independence India. He stressed the importance of placing the nation above self, a principle that shaped the foundation of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
Ambekar praised the resilience of the Sangh shakhas, emphasizing their commitment to national integrity despite external pressures. With over 87,000 daily shakhas nationwide, he underscored the role of these gatherings in fostering values and a sense of community among participants.
Ambekar outlined the essence of the shakhas, where daily prayers and pledges are made in front of the saffron flag. He noted that embracing the Sangh’s ideology and increasing volunteer participation, even by a small percentage of the population, could positively impact society.
