The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) strongly denounced the brutal assault on advocate Pankaj Sharma, calling it an attack on the institution of justice. The SCBA expressed serious concerns about the investigation into the incident, emphasizing the need for proper handling.

In a resolution by its Executive Committee, the SCBA voiced deep distress over the assault on Sharma, highlighting the serious injuries he sustained. The Bar body criticized the investigation for not adequately addressing the severity and nature of the attack.

The SCBA emphasized that an attack on an advocate is not just an individual assault but a strike against the justice system itself. The association raised alarm over the lack of protection for advocates and the undermining of public trust in the justice system.

Expressing worry over the FIR not reflecting the gravity of Sharma’s injuries, the SCBA demanded a thorough investigation into the incident. The association urged the Delhi Police Commissioner to take swift legal action against all involved in the assault and provide necessary protection to Sharma and his family.
