Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule criticized the Central Government for neglecting social reformer Sonam Wangchuk’s protest. Sule visited Jantar Mantar to support Wangchuk and urged him to end his 19-day hunger strike due to health reasons. She condemned the NEET-UG paper leak, labeling it a nationwide crime affecting numerous students.
Sule expressed solidarity with Wangchuk, emphasizing his importance to the nation. She criticized the government’s insensitivity for not engaging in dialogue with Wangchuk. Sule highlighted the NEET exam irregularities as a grave injustice affecting lakhs of innocent children nationwide.
Addressing political issues, Sule clarified her party’s opposition to the current format of the Constitutional Amendment Bill. She stressed the need for extensive debate on the bill before implementation. Sule also mentioned ongoing discussions on the ‘One Nation, One Election’ proposal and emphasized the premature nature of any debate on a Delimitation Bill.
Regarding her meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Sule defended the interaction as a routine part of public representation. She addressed speculations about a political truce within the Pawar family, revealing her late brother’s desire for family unity. Sule stated that despite efforts to reconcile, the other faction showed no interest, leading to the closure of discussions.
