In a heartbreaking incident at Muthathi near Karnataka’s Mandya, five individuals, including four family members, lost their lives in a drowning mishap. The victims, identified as Vijayamma, Shwetha, Chaitra, Priyanka, and Mahesh, were residents of Byadarahalli in Bengaluru. The lone survivor, Ravi, narrated the sequence of events, mentioning that the group had visited temples in the area before the tragedy unfolded near the river.
Ravi described how the tragedy occurred as they played in the water by the riverbank. Despite efforts to rescue those who fell into the water, including his sister and wife, the strong current swept them away. Tragically, the family’s driver and friend, Mahesh, also lost his life while attempting to save the others.
The survivor, Ravi, shared that he too was pulled into the water while trying to rescue the drowning victims. Fortunately, he was saved by someone present at the scene.
