Captain Suryakumar Yadav commended Ishan Kishan for his impressive 77 runs in India’s 61-run win against Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Kishan’s aggressive innings of 77 off 40 balls, including ten fours and three sixes, propelled India to a total of 175/7 before dismissing Pakistan for 114.

Yadav lauded Kishan for stepping up when India was 0-1 and taking charge of the game. He also acknowledged the contributions of other players like Tilak, Dube, and Rinku. India’s victory marked their eighth win in nine T20 World Cup encounters against Pakistan.

Reflecting on the match, Yadav praised the team’s total score as above par and credited the bowlers for their exceptional performance. He highlighted the crucial roles played by Hardik and Bumrah in securing the win. Looking forward, Yadav mentioned regrouping before their next match against the Netherlands on February 18 in Ahmedabad.

Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha admitted his team’s shortcomings in both batting and bowling. He acknowledged the lack of execution and a poor start with the bat, emphasizing the importance of a strong Power-play performance. Agha also noted the challenges faced on the pitch and the need for improved application in upcoming games.
