A suspected terrorist, Abdul Khader, accused in the 2008 Madiwala bomb blast case in Bengaluru, passed away due to a heart attack on Friday. The judgment in the long-pending case was yet to be delivered by the court. The 2008 Bengaluru serial bomb blasts involved seven coordinated low-intensity explosions, with a fatal blast at the Madiwala police checkpost bus stand on Hosur Road.
The attacks resulted in the tragic deaths of two individuals, including a woman at the Madiwala bus shelter, and left several others injured. Abdul Khader, aged 60, had been in judicial custody at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in Bengaluru since 2010 in connection with the blast case. His health deteriorated suddenly on Friday, and he was being taken to Jayadeva Hospital for treatment when he suffered the heart attack and passed away before medical aid could be provided.
Khader, a native of Virajpet in Madikeri district, was facing charges related to the 2008 serial bomb blast case in Bengaluru. He was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) as part of the investigation into the explosions. The trial against Khader was nearing its conclusion, with the court expected to announce its verdict in the coming days. However, his demise occurred before the court could deliver its judgment.
