Suspended Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir announced that he will soon unveil his new political party in West Bengal. Kabir, representing the Bharatpur Assembly constituency in Murshidabad district, expressed his commitment to serving the people despite parting ways with his former party. He plans to introduce the party’s flag today and disclose its office-bearers and district presidents. The new outfit aims to contest over 100 Assembly seats in the upcoming state elections. Kabir is confident that his party’s candidates will secure a significant number of seats, potentially influencing the formation of the state cabinet post-elections. He anticipates the party’s flag to be prominently displayed across various locations in the state, including Kolkata, Cooch Behar, Darjeeling, and his hometown, Murshidabad. The launch event will take place near Beldanga, where Kabir had proposed the construction of the Babri Mosque. Kabir also hinted at potential party names like the Indian Conservative Party and the Janata Unnayan Party, with his preferred symbols being a “table” or “twin roses.” Despite his recent suspension from Trinamool Congress, Kabir remains determined to pursue his political aspirations.
