Suvendu Adhikari is poised to become the first Chief Minister of West Bengal from the BJP and will soon take the oath of office. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan remarked that this development would be a fitting tribute to Syama Prasad Mukherjee, a prominent figure in India’s history.
Pradhan highlighted the significance of the day, coinciding with Rabindranath Tagore’s birth anniversary, and noted the cultural celebrations in the state. He expressed optimism for West Bengal’s future under Adhikari’s leadership, emphasizing the people’s trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Bihar Minister Ram Kripal Yadav also extended congratulations to Adhikari, lauding the historic political transformation in Bengal under his leadership. Yadav expressed confidence in Adhikari’s commitment to the state’s development, following years of stagnation.
Suvendu Adhikari, a senior BJP leader, is set to be sworn in as West Bengal’s Chief Minister at a grand ceremony in Kolkata. His victory in both Nandigram and Bhabanipur constituencies signifies a significant electoral success, including a notable win over Mamata Banerjee.
The swearing-in event is expected to draw top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, among others. This milestone follows the BJP’s triumph in the recent Assembly elections, marking a significant political shift in West Bengal.
