Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s influence was lauded by a sadhu who stated that wherever Modi goes, the saffron flag is raised, earning him deep respect. Another sadhu mentioned the commencement of “Ram Rajya,” signifying the presence of sadhus at the event. Supporters echoed the sentiment of a new era with one stating, “Today, a Sanatani government is going to be formed,” emphasizing their commitment as Sanatanis.
The growing saffron wave in Bengal under PM Modi’s leadership was highlighted by a BJP supporter who likened Modi to a deity and India’s lion. The excitement among the attendees was palpable as they celebrated the significant moment. The swearing-in ceremony will witness the presence of notable figures including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Union ministers, and chief ministers of NDA-ruled states. Union Home Minister Amit Shah officially declared Suvendu Adhikari as West Bengal’s next Chief Minister, marking the initiation of the state’s first BJP-led government post-independence. Adhikari’s endorsement as the leader of the BJP’s legislature party in the West Bengal Assembly was confirmed during a meeting chaired by Shah with newly-elected BJP legislators post the state elections.
