The ninth Chief Minister of West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari, is set to chair an administrative review meeting with officials, police officers, and elected representatives from Kolkata, Howrah, and South 24 Parganas at the state secretariat Nabanna. Elected Trinamool Congress legislators from these districts will also attend the meeting.
Expelled Trinamool Congress MLAs Ritabrata Banerjee from Uluberia (Purba) and Sandipan Saha from Entally constituency have confirmed their attendance. Other Trinamool Congress legislators from the three districts, particularly Howrah, will also be present at the review meeting.
In the recent West Bengal Assembly polls, Trinamool Congress secured victories in 21 out of 31 Assembly constituencies in South 24 Parganas. The BJP won in 9 constituencies, while the AISF emerged victorious in one. It remains uncertain if the lone AISF legislator from the district, Nawsad Siddique, will attend the meeting.
