Celebrated actress Tabu shared insights on how people often live to seek validation from others during a candid conversation with veteran actress Simi Garewal on the show ‘Rendezvous with Simi Garewal’. She expressed that individuals frequently prioritize pleasing others over nurturing their own identity, leading to a robotic existence. Tabu emphasized the perpetual human desire for approval, highlighting the pressure to maintain punctuality, professionalism, and likability to avoid disappointing or hurting others.

Reflecting on her personal journey of self-discovery, Tabu articulated the challenges of conforming to societal expectations, stating, “You forget that you are a person in yourself also.” She described the struggle of constantly adapting to meet external standards, such as adhering to others’ schedules and preferences, which can create a cycle of seeking validation and approval. Tabu underscored the underlying fear of displeasing others or jeopardizing professional opportunities as a driving force behind the compulsion to please.

In her recent professional endeavors, Tabu was featured in Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy film ‘Bhooth Bangla’, directed by Priyadarshan. Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor in association with Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films, the movie also stars Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, and Govardhan Asrani in prominent roles, among others.
