Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is set to visit Kanyakumari district on Tuesday to participate in official programs and unveil important development projects. Departing from Chennai by private flight at 10 a.m., he will land at Thoothukudi airport before proceeding to Kanyakumari by road. A warm welcome awaits him at the Mahadhanapuram four-lane road roundabout in Agastheeswaram Town Panchayat at 11 a.m., organized by the DMK’s Kanyakumari East district unit.
At noon, CM Stalin will inaugurate the Silver Jubilee Memorial Arch near the Government Guest House in Kanyakumari, constructed at a cost of Rs 1.45 crore to mark the 25th anniversary of the Thiruvalluvar statue. This initiative aims to boost the tourism and cultural significance of the iconic landmark. Later in the day, he will unveil a statue of M. Karunanidhi and an exhibition of memorabilia related to himself at Kalladivilai in Nagercoil, followed by the inauguration of a statue of Ponnappa Nadar at the S.C.P. Ramasamy Iyer Memorial Park complex in Nagercoil.
Overnight, the Chief Minister will stay at the Government Guest House in Nagercoil, and on Wednesday, he will attend a significant government event at 9 a.m. at the Concordia School Ground in Nagercoil. During this function, CM Stalin will inaugurate completed development projects and lay foundation stones for new initiatives under various state welfare schemes. The visit will conclude with his departure from Thoothukudi airport to Chennai at 12.30 p.m.
