Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin criticized the BJP and AIADMK for betraying the state’s interests and undermining federalism. He accused the BJP of diluting Tamil Nadu’s identity and promoting religious polarization, while labeling the AIADMK as a passive observer to these actions. Stalin urged DMK workers to gear up for the 2026 Assembly elections.
Stalin emphasized the DMK’s roots and invoked the legacy of Perarignar C.N. Annadurai, highlighting his contributions to Tamil Nadu’s political landscape. He praised Anna for his reforms, including the Tamil–English two-language policy and the state’s renaming. Stalin also commended M. Karunanidhi for carrying forward the movement during challenging times.
The Chief Minister lauded the DMK government’s efforts in steering Tamil Nadu towards progress after what he termed a “dark decade” under the AIADMK. Despite facing discrimination from the BJP-led Union government, Tamil Nadu has shown growth in various sectors. Stalin reaffirmed the government’s commitment to social welfare and inclusive development, urging party members to uphold the ideals of Anna and Kalaignar.
