Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, along with Cabinet Ministers and party members, honored the 57th death anniversary of DMK founder C.N. Annadurai at Marina Beach. Stalin highlighted Annadurai’s significant role in shaping Dravidian politics and social reform in the state.
Stalin also paid respects at the memorial of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, who carried forward Annadurai’s vision. A silent rally led by the Chief Minister and ministers passed through the city, with party workers showcasing support for Annadurai’s principles of social justice and Tamil identity.
The event drew a large number of DMK cadres and supporters from various regions. To ensure smooth proceedings, temporary traffic restrictions were imposed by the Greater Chennai Traffic Police around Marina, with specific diversions for the Chief Minister’s movement during the ceremony.
Despite the substantial turnout, the tribute ceremony concluded peacefully, with minimal disruption to the public. DMK leaders emphasized their continued commitment to upholding Annadurai’s values, guiding the party’s political and social initiatives.
