Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has arrived in New Delhi for a three-day visit to attend the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This visit marks his second trip to the capital since taking office, drawing attention for potential political and administrative discussions.

Accompanying Vijay are his personal aide Jegadheesh, Vishnu Reddy, Rajkumar, Jegadheesh Awasthi, assistant Rajendran, and other officials from the Chief Minister’s office. The NITI Aayog meeting, a significant annual policy forum, will gather chief ministers and lieutenant governors to address economic development, federal cooperation, infrastructure, investments, welfare programs, and state-center coordination.

Vijay is expected to address the council, presenting Tamil Nadu’s priorities and concerns, especially regarding financial support for infrastructure projects, welfare schemes, and development initiatives. The Chief Minister may also engage in sideline meetings, potentially meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and senior Congress leaders during his stay in Delhi.

After the NITI Aayog meeting, Vijay plans to visit Mangaluru in Karnataka before returning to Chennai on the same day, concluding his three-day trip.
