Exit polls for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections suggest that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin of the ruling DMK-led alliance is poised for a second consecutive term. The polls indicate a strong lead for the DMK alliance, with projections ranging between 125 and 145 seats.
In a four-cornered contest involving the DMK-led front, the AIADMK-led alliance, TVK, and NTK, a voter turnout of 85.10% was recorded. The AIADMK alliance is expected to secure 65 to 80 seats, while TVK may debut with 18 to 24 seats.
Various exit polls, including People’s Pulse, Axis My India, The Matrix, and P-Marq, consistently show the DMK alliance in the lead. Despite minor discrepancies, all polls point towards a return to power for the DMK, while the AIADMK alliance trails behind.
With the final results scheduled for May 4, the outcome will determine if the exit poll predictions hold true and if the DMK secures another term in Tamil Nadu.
