The Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper II is scheduled to take place across Tamil Nadu on Sunday. Over 1.67 lakh candidates are expected to participate in this examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB). Paper II is specifically for individuals aspiring to teach graduate-level classes in government and government-aided schools.
The examination will be held at 613 centers throughout Tamil Nadu, with a total of 1,67,743 candidates registered for the test. Strict security measures will be in place to ensure a fair and transparent conduct of the examination. Paper I, conducted on the previous day, saw the participation of 61,386 candidates at 222 centers across various districts in the state.
Candidates with disabilities will receive an extra hour to complete the examination as per guidelines. Special arrangements have been made at examination centers to support their participation. The TNTET is a mandatory qualification for those seeking teaching positions in government and government-aided schools, although passing the exam does not guarantee employment.
Authorities advise candidates to arrive early at their designated centers for verification processes and to prevent last-minute delays. Entry into examination halls will be managed according to TRB instructions, and candidates must carry their hall tickets and valid identification. Stringent arrangements have been put in place at all centers to ensure the smooth conduct of Paper II, marking the conclusion of the two-day teacher eligibility examination.
