Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu praised TDP National Working President Nara Lokesh’s proposal for 33% reservation for women in the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for the 2029 elections. This move, announced at the Mahanadu event, is seen as a significant step in Indian politics. Ram Mohan Naidu highlighted TDP’s commitment to progressive politics and empowering women under the leadership of N. Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh.
The TDP’s Mahanadu event, held at the party’s central office in Mangalagiri, showcased a hybrid model emphasizing digital mobilization and technology-driven organizational management. Over seven lakh party members participated through physical attendance and digitally connected cluster centers across Andhra Pradesh. This innovative approach aimed to enhance inclusivity, scalability, and real-time engagement in the political process.
The hybrid Mahanadu model featured around 1,875 digitally connected “Mahanadu Cluster Centers” spread across constituencies and mandals. These centers facilitated remote participation, enabling cadres from rural areas to engage in discussions, watch speeches, and vote on resolutions in real time. By leveraging technology, TDP reduced logistical challenges, increased participation diversity, and enhanced the overall event experience.
