Teams from Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand Secure Wins in Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship

Teams from Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand emerged victorious in the quarterfinals of Division ‘A’ of the 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2026 held at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh International Astro-turf Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

In the first quarterfinal, Hockey Association of Odisha dominated with an 8-1 win over Hockey Maharashtra. Priyanka Minz showcased an exceptional performance by scoring four goals, supported by Princess Priya Ekka, Sweety Kujur, and Kiran Ekka, while Anvi Rawat scored for Hockey Maharashtra.

Hockey Madhya Pradesh secured a 5-1 victory against Hockey Mizoram in the second quarterfinal, with Captain Nousheen Naz netting a hat-trick and contributions from Nammi Geethasri and Bhabar Keshar. Laldinpuii scored the sole goal for Hockey Mizoram.

Uttar Pradesh Hockey clinched a close 2-1 win over Hockey Haryana in the third quarterfinal, with Arika Kumari and Rashi Singh scoring for Uttar Pradesh, and Radhika finding the net for Hockey Haryana.

Hosts Hockey Jharkhand triumphed over Hockey Punjab 2-0 in the last quarterfinal, with goals from Pushpa Manjhi and Sandeepa Kumari.

In the upcoming semifinals, Hockey Association of Odisha will face Hockey Madhya Pradesh, and Hockey Jharkhand will compete against Uttar Pradesh Hockey.
