The teaser for the movie ‘Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy’ has been revealed amidst a legal battle and controversy. It includes direct references to Salman Khan, using terms like ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Sikander’, titles from his films. Notably, the lead character in the teaser is shown wearing a bracelet similar to Salman Khan’s iconic one.
Days after the Delhi High Court postponed the hearing on Salman Khan’s plea to stop the film’s release, the teaser was launched. The movie’s creators have also announced its upcoming theatrical release. Salman Khan has raised concerns in court that the film exploits his personality rights and misrepresents events related to him without consent.
The film is said to be inspired by Salman Khan’s 1998 blackbuck poaching case and his alleged feud with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The Delhi High Court had issued a notice to filmmaker Amit Jani and others in response to Salman Khan’s plea for interim relief against the film’s release.
The legal tussle began when Salman Khan’s legal team demanded the makers of ‘Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy’ to stop the film’s release and remove all promotional material. Directed by Bharat S. Shrinet and produced by Amit Jani, the movie is described as a blend of courtroom drama and crime thriller on an international level.
