A techie named Balamurugan confessed to the police that he fatally shot his wife, Bhuvaneshwari, in Bengaluru’s Magadi Road area. The trigger for the murder was reportedly a divorce notice sent by his wife, who worked as an assistant manager at Union Bank of India. Balamurugan, a 40-year-old software engineer, surrendered to the police after the incident.
The victim, Bhuvaneshwari, was shot dead by her husband with five rounds fired, resulting in fatal injuries. Balamurugan admitted to the police that the divorce notice and alleged differences between them led to the extreme step. He expressed distress over the separation and suspected his wife of infidelity, which fueled their disputes.
Investigations are ongoing to determine how Balamurugan acquired the pistol used in the crime. The couple, married in 2011, had been living separately due to marital issues for over a year. Bhuvaneshwari had sought legal separation, but the accused was reportedly against it. The tragic incident unfolded as Balamurugan waited for his wife’s return from work and shot her upon her arrival.
