Skyroot Aerospace was previously honored with the National Technology Start-up Award 2022 during the National Technology Day celebrations, acknowledging its groundbreaking work in developing cryogenic, liquid, and solid propulsion technologies for small satellite launches. This recognition reflects the company’s technological excellence and commercial promise.
The successful Vikram-1 mission not only validates the vision behind the National Technology Awards but also underscores the potential of Indian technologies to make a significant impact nationally and globally. Rajesh Kumar Pathak, Secretary of the Technology Development Board, praised Skyroot Aerospace’s progress and highlighted the company’s submission of a proposal to the TDB under the Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) Fund, currently under review. The TDB’s consistent support for indigenous technology commercialization across various strategic sectors, including aerospace, defense, healthcare, and digital technologies, was also emphasized.
