Guntas Sandhu showed skill in challenging conditions, scoring 5-over 77 at the Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific (WAAP), finishing Tied-20th overall. Her teammate Ananyaa Sood struggled, ending at 14-over for T-42 place.

Korea’s Yunseo Yang made history by winning the Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific, defeating compatriot Soomin Oh. Yang’s impressive three-under-par 69 in windy conditions secured her victory with a record-breaking 16-under 272 total, eight strokes ahead of Oh.

Yang’s victory not only earned her a place in the championship’s history but also secured her spots in three major championships in 2026 and elite amateur events. Her win ended Korea’s previous runner-up streak in the tournament.
