Telangana BJP President, N. Ramchander Rao, dismissed requests for Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s resignation following his son’s arrest in a POCSO case. Rao defended Sanjay, stating no wrongdoing had occurred to warrant resignation or dismissal. He accused the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of unfairly targeting Sanjay through what he called malicious propaganda.
Rao, addressing a press conference, criticized BRS leaders for engaging in false propaganda against Sanjay and his family. He highlighted that if any family members were at fault, legal action would be taken. Rao further alleged that BRS was spending significant sums on posters across the state to target Sanjay, and criticized BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao for spreading false information.
Questioning the moral values of BRS, Rao pointed out instances where leaders did not resign despite controversies. He accused BRS of exploiting family issues for political gain and demanded accountability from BRS leaders. Rao also emphasized the need for responsible actions to build a strong and self-reliant India, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for national interest.
