Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed readiness for a debate comparing his government’s 30-month performance to the BRS rule’s 10 years in the state and the Modi government’s 12 years at the Centre. He challenged both BRS and BJP to engage in this debate during a public meeting where he laid foundation stones for various development projects. Revanth Reddy criticized BJP MPs from Telangana for allegedly hindering the release of Central funds for the state’s development.
The Chief Minister accused Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and other Telangana BJP MPs of obstructing funds meant for the state’s progress. He questioned why these MPs did not advocate for Telangana’s development and accused Kishan Reddy of creating obstacles for projects like the Musi River development. Revanth Reddy warned that if the Union Minister continued to impede the state’s progress, the people would vote against the BJP in the future.
Revanth Reddy urged former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Kishan Reddy to provide constructive suggestions to the state government instead of causing harm with corruption and arrogance. He announced the commencement of the international bus terminal project in Gajularamaram within three months, emphasizing the government’s focus on Hyderabad and state development in the next 24 months. The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of systematic development in Hyderabad, which has been divided into three corporations to ensure coordinated growth.
The CM stressed the need for tangible development aligned with the vision of a ‘Global City.’ Initiatives such as the second phase of the Metro rail, construction of 1 lakh houses for low and middle-income groups, and schemes like free bus travel for women and educational programs for students were underscored. Revanth Reddy also mentioned the establishment of residential schools for underprivileged students and initiatives empowering women through various projects.
