Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to prioritize revenue mobilization to meet state budget goals. He emphasized the need to eliminate leakages in commercial taxes, excise, and mining sectors. A dedicated cell for revenue mobilization is set to be established.
In a high-level meeting at MCR HRD, the Chief Minister reviewed the state’s revenue mobilization efforts. He issued directives to enhance revenue, with a focus on Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority and Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation. Reddy stressed the importance of avoiding negligence in revenue enhancement and fund mobilization.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy proposed the integration of traffic signals across Hyderabad for efficient traffic management. He highlighted the use of technology, including AI, to regulate traffic flow, especially during rainy seasons. Discussions also revolved around developing intelligent infrastructure solutions for future urban transportation needs.
The meeting underscored the concept of “Cognitive Cities,” capable of real-time adjustments like traffic signal systems based on congestion levels. It also explored leveraging emerging technologies for enhanced government efficiency and citizen services in rapidly growing urban areas.
