Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy foresees the Congress securing a significant win in the 2029 Assembly elections, believing they will retain power. Reddy anticipates the elections to occur before the end of 2028, not in May-June 2029 as expected. He is confident that with the proposed delimitation, the Congress could clinch 117 out of 182 Assembly seats and 20 out of 26 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana.
Addressing a public gathering in Khammam district, Reddy expressed his commitment to Congress’s victory, vowing to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister by winning parliamentary seats. He criticized the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for spreading false survey reports and engaging in malicious propaganda against the Congress, emphasizing the party’s strong position in the upcoming elections.
Describing the upcoming elections as a decisive battle, Reddy emphasized the Congress’s determination to defeat the ruling Kaurava Kalvakuntla (KCR) family. He challenged BRS leader Harish Rao regarding his allegiance to the BJP and highlighted internal discord within the BRS leadership. Reddy also addressed issues related to water management and welfare schemes, asserting his commitment to supporting farmers and implementing beneficial programs.
