Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, during a public meeting in Khammam, advised media organizations against involving Ministers in their disputes, which could tarnish the state government’s reputation. He specifically addressed reports by a Telugu newspaper and television channel alleging corruption in contracts awarded by the state-owned Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of media refraining from actions that could undermine the government’s interests.
Revanth Reddy stressed the government’s commitment to transparency and integrity, urging the media to seek clarification from him before publishing any content related to Ministers, MPs, or MLAs. He refuted claims of corruption in Singareni Collieries Company Limited, asserting that the government has maintained strict vigilance against irregularities over the past two years. The Chief Minister expressed confidence in the Congress party’s continued governance in Telangana for the next decade.
Additionally, Revanth Reddy called on followers of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) and current Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Telangana to disassociate from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). On the occasion of NTR’s death anniversary, he urged supporters to honor NTR’s legacy by rejecting BRS and former Telangana Chief Minister KCR. The Chief Minister’s remarks were made at a public gathering where some attendees were seen displaying TDP flags.
