Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to establish a dedicated single-window Task Force in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to fast-track approvals for projects in six major cities. These cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, are crucial for the nation’s progress, as highlighted by the Chief Minister during an event where the Prime Minister inaugurated various initiatives in Telangana.
Revanth Reddy stressed the significant economic growth occurring in these metropolitan areas and emphasized their pivotal role in positioning India prominently on the global stage while also generating employment opportunities for the youth. He further urged PM Modi to promptly clear all pending projects in Telangana and conduct a special review meeting to address these matters.
The Chief Minister brought to the Prime Minister’s notice the delays in approving key projects such as the Musi Rejuvenation Project, Metro Rail expansion, radial roads, and the proposed 12-lane express Highway linking Hyderabad to Machalipatanam. Seeking active intervention from PM Modi, Revanth Reddy requested a dedicated two-hour meeting to expedite approvals for pending projects in Telangana.
Revanth Reddy drew parallels with the support extended by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to the Gujarat model and appealed for similar backing from PM Modi to propel Telangana’s development over the next decade. With the recent conclusion of elections in five states and the Prime Minister’s visit to inaugurate developmental ventures in Telangana, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to shift focus towards progress and development.
Praising PM Modi’s initiative “Viksit Bharat 2047” aimed at positioning India as a developed nation, the Chief Minister expressed Telangana’s commitment to contributing significantly to this vision. He outlined ambitious economic goals for Telangana under the “Telangana Rising” initiative, aiming to achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047. Revanth Reddy declared the state’s target to contribute 10% to the national GDP by 2047, showcasing the government’s determination to lead Telangana to the forefront among all states in the country.
