Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has requested all state government workers to put in an extra hour daily to enhance productivity and boost state revenues. He emphasized the need to eliminate illegal activities and prevent revenue leakages to increase income. The Chief Minister, while signing agreements with banks for insurance coverage for government employees, highlighted the importance of their hard work in implementing welfare schemes successfully.
Revanth Reddy stressed that the trust of employees is crucial for the government’s strength and urged them to dedicate an additional hour each day to elevate the state’s revenue. He assured that the increased revenue would be utilized for employee welfare and emphasized the role of state employees in building a positive reputation for the government. The Chief Minister called for collective efforts to position Telangana as a leading state in the country, focusing on law enforcement and attracting investments.
The government’s commitment to providing insurance coverage to all government employees, including outsourcing and contract workers, was underscored by the Chief Minister. Following the provision of insurance payouts to families of deceased Singareni workers, the state government decided to extend similar coverage to all employees. Revanth Reddy emphasized the government’s responsibility to financially support families of deceased employees and highlighted the importance of such insurance schemes in providing reassurance during tough times.
He announced an agreement with banks to offer accident insurance to state government employees and encouraged employees to communicate their demands and grievances for prompt resolution. Criticizing the previous government for plunging revenue surplus Telangana into debt, the Chief Minister assured timely salary payments to employees under his administration. He defended his role as a group leader of government employees, emphasizing their importance in connecting with the public and marginalized sections.
Revanth Reddy, who has not taken a day off in the last 30 months, stated his commitment to protecting the state’s interests during his visits to Delhi. He expressed satisfaction with the government’s progress and reiterated his focus on addressing people’s concerns and steering the state towards economic development, aiming for a 3-trillion-dollar economy by 2047.
