Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy called on citizens to vote for the ruling Congress party in the upcoming municipal elections to ensure the continuation of welfare and development initiatives in the state. Speaking at the launch of the party’s campaign in Miryalguda, he pledged to elevate municipalities into models of progress. Reddy highlighted various welfare schemes rolled out by the government and emphasized that a Congress victory would signify a win for the underprivileged.
Reiterating the party’s commitment to another eight years in power, Reddy expressed confidence in securing success across all 123 urban local bodies set for polls. He urged voters to consider initiatives like fine rice distribution, Rythu Bharosa for farmers, and free bus travel for women before casting their ballots. The Chief Minister underscored the government’s efforts in implementing development programs for various sections of society, including the poor, tribals, and women.
Reddy pointed out the issuance of ration cards to a significant number of people after the current government assumed office, contrasting it with the previous administration’s performance. He highlighted the provision of fine rice to millions and the allocation of 200 units of free electricity to households. The government’s support for farmers through Rythu Bharosa, including substantial financial aid, was also emphasized, with Reddy noting the significant financial outlay for agricultural welfare.
