Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka praised the Salar Jung Museum, calling it a symbol of Hyderabad’s essence and a testament to religious harmony. He joined the museum’s 75th anniversary and honored Salar Jung III Mir Yousuf Ali Khan on his 137th birth anniversary, recognizing his vast collection of antiques and art.
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, AIMIM MLA Mir Zulfeqar Ali, and others also participated in the celebrations. Vikramarka lauded Salar Jung III’s vision in amassing 43,000 artifacts, emphasizing his dedication to art and cultural preservation. He commended the museum’s diverse collection, which includes Hindu, Muslim, Christian, and Buddhist artifacts, showcasing unity in diversity.
The Deputy CM highlighted Salar Jung III’s philanthropy in acquiring rare treasures and converting them into public assets. He underscored the museum’s significance in promoting religious harmony and secularism, reflecting the syncretic culture of the Deccan. Vikramarka envisioned the museum as a cultural centerpiece of the rejuvenated Musi riverfront, part of Hyderabad’s rich historical and technological landscape.
