The Telangana government, under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, will set up an official committee to enhance digital governance in the state. Reddy emphasized the need for transparency in administration through digital governance during a meeting with top officials. The committee, comprising officials from various departments, will be tasked with submitting a report within 100 days.
The Chief Minister’s Office highlighted the government’s focus on digitization to improve public services and ensure direct delivery of welfare schemes. Reddy instructed officials to ensure prompt payment of salaries to contract and outsourcing employees, taking action against non-compliant agencies. He also stressed on digitizing data of these employees and regular government staff for timely salary disbursement.
Officials reported that a significant number of contract and outsourcing agencies in the state are failing to remit ESI and PF contributions for their employees, leading to delayed salaries. Reddy mandated digitization of employee details to streamline processes and facilitate benefits like health cards. The review meeting, attended by various officials, aimed at addressing issues faced by contract and outsourcing employees.
