Telangana Governor Proposes Drug-Free Pledge for Students

Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has recommended that students in schools and colleges should pledge to abstain from drugs during admissions. This suggestion was made during a meeting with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and state minister D. Sridhar Babu at Lok Bhavan. The focus of the discussion was on promoting education and drug-free campuses.

The Governor highlighted the importance of raising awareness among students about the risks of drug abuse. He suggested implementing effective measures to prevent substance abuse within educational institutions. Additionally, he proposed administering a pledge against drug consumption as part of awareness campaigns.

Furthermore, the Governor mentioned an upcoming awareness program scheduled to take place under his leadership at LB Stadium on June 12. The Chief Minister assured that all suggestions would be carefully reviewed and appropriate actions would be taken. The meeting also included discussions on pending nominations to the Telangana Legislative Council.
