Telangana Jagruthi President K. Kavitha announced her plans to establish a new political party in May this year. She mentioned that the party’s name will incorporate ‘Telangana’ and expressed confidence in its potential to become the primary opposition party. Kavitha disclosed her intentions to run in the upcoming Assembly elections from either Siddipet or Bodhan.
Kavitha, the daughter of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), indicated Siddipet as her preferred constituency. Siddipet was previously represented by KCR for about two decades until 2004, after which his nephew T. Harish Rao took over. Last year, Kavitha parted ways with BRS following her suspension due to alleged anti-party activities.
Regarding recent political developments, Kavitha criticized the Congress leadership’s review of the Telangana government’s performance, likening it to the previous government’s actions. She also voiced concerns over the potential privatization of the Road Transport Corporation (RTC) and demanded the immediate reinstatement of dismissed RTC workers without conditions.
