Telangana Jagruthi President K. Kavitha has revealed plans to establish a new political party within the next three months. She mentioned waiting for an auspicious time to officially introduce the party. Kavitha, who is the daughter of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), parted ways with BRS last year following her suspension for anti-party activities.
Telangana Jagruti, under Kavitha’s leadership, will hold a gathering in Hyderabad on February 12 to honor those who sacrificed for the cause of Telangana. Criticizing BRS, she accused the party of not being dedicated to addressing the reservation concerns of Backward Classes. Kavitha specifically criticized the nomination of B. Madhav Reddy by BRS in municipal elections, highlighting his opposition to 42% reservation for Backward Classes in a court petition.
Expressing disappointment with BRS’s candidate selection process, Kavitha pointed out the incongruity between the party’s actions and its promises. She also mentioned instances where BRS leaders sought tickets from Telangana Jagruthi for municipal elections in Sircilla, the constituency represented by her brother and BRS Working President KTR. Additionally, Kavitha accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of resorting to verbal abuse against KCR due to political challenges.
