Telangana Police are actively searching for a 35-year-old man, B. Rajkumar, who brutally stabbed six people to death, including his wife, two sons, and three individuals from a family involved in a POCSO case against him. The tragic incidents occurred in two separate attacks at Daivalaguda in Shabad mandal of Rangareddy district on July 10.
Authorities have mobilized twelve teams to locate Rajkumar, who remains at large following the heinous crimes. Despite social media rumors suggesting his arrest, Deputy Commissioner of Police Yogesh Gautam clarified that special teams are diligently working to apprehend the suspect. The manhunt involves technical experts, railway police, and human intelligence units, with a focus on analyzing CCTV footage to track Rajkumar’s movements after he turned off his phone on the night of the murders.
In their pursuit of the accused, police teams are scouring CCTV footage from bus and railway stations, suspecting that Rajkumar may have fled to other states. Emphasizing highways connecting to Karnataka and neighboring states, law enforcement is also conducting thorough searches of hotels and lodges along the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway. Future City police have offered a reward of Rs.2 lakh for any information leading to Rajkumar’s arrest.
As part of the ongoing investigation, Future City Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi has taken action by suspending Shabad police sub-inspector Ramesh, who was handling the POCSO case involving Rajkumar. The tragic events unfolded late at night, with Rajkumar allegedly committing the murders in two locations, six kilometers apart, before notifying his father about the gruesome acts. The victims, including a minor girl, her mother, and grandmother, were brutally attacked with a knife by Rajkumar, who subsequently slit their throats.
