Telangana’s Director General of Police ordered the suspension of a police officer for permitting his young granddaughter to drive a car. The Cyberabad Police Commissioner will conduct a departmental inquiry into the incident.
The officer in question, not affiliated with Cyberabad police as clarified by the Commissioner, faces disciplinary action. A case has been filed against him for allowing his six-year-old granddaughter to drive on a busy road.
The police registered a case under relevant sections of the law against the officer for letting the minor operate the vehicle. The officer was caught teaching the child to drive, leading to public outrage and swift police action.
