The Census 2027 in Telangana is set to kick off on May 11 with House Listing Operations, announced a top official. This year’s census will be India’s first fully digital one, using a dedicated mobile app for real-time data capture, enhanced accuracy, and faster processing. House Listing Operations will start statewide on May 11, preceded by a 15-day self-enumeration initiative for online data submission.
Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao emphasized the significance of the upcoming Census, highlighting its digital nature and the benefits it brings. He urged District Collectors to ensure complete coverage, leaving no household or settlement uncounted. The focus will be on inclusivity, especially in hard-to-reach areas, with a strong emphasis on training enumerators and supervisors for a successful digital enumeration process.
To guarantee the success of the digital Census, officials were directed to adhere strictly to timelines, maintain data quality, ensure transparency, and integrate technology seamlessly. District Collectors were tasked with overseeing preparations and resolving any operational challenges promptly. Director of Census Operations Bharathi Holikeri detailed the operational plan, emphasizing the training model and deployment of digital tools for efficient data collection.
