Television actor Vipul Roy, known for his roles in shows like “F.I.R” and “Jeanie Aur Juju,” recently experienced a theft amounting to Rs. 7.10 lakh at his home in Mumbai’s Khar area. The alleged theft, involving cash and jewelry, was reportedly carried out by a domestic help hired through an online service company. Following the complaint, the Khar Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
Vipul Roy resides with his family on the 10th floor of Kalaniketan Building on SV Road in Khar West, as per the Khar police. He occasionally engaged domestic help through a company app for household tasks. The actor mentioned to the police that a woman named Deepali Sanjay Kharwa had been hired for cleaning and other domestic chores on April 6. She had worked at his residence four times and was familiar with the household layout and routines.
On the morning of April 6, the domestic help arrived for work and advised Vipul not to enter a room she was cleaning due to wet floors. She then locked the room from inside, completed her tasks, and left after informing the actor. The following day, Vipul discovered cash and jewelry missing from a drawer in his cupboard, leading him to suspect the domestic help’s involvement. The stolen items included various currencies and valuable pieces, totaling around Rs. 7.10 lakh.
A theft case was registered against the accused woman by the Khar Police on April 21, 2026. The ongoing investigation involves scrutiny of CCTV footage, online booking records, and tracking the accused’s whereabouts. Vipul Roy, known for his appearances in reality and fictional shows, has been cooperating with the authorities in the inquiry.
