Tensions escalated in Delhi as the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and its supporters staged a protest named “Sansad Chalo” demanding accountability from the government regarding the NEET-UG paper leak case. The protesters faced a light police presence as they tried to move towards Parliament House to voice their concerns. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke emphasized the demands for the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, compensation for families of students who died by suicide, and the release of Sonam Wangchuk.

Geetanjali Angmo, wife of activist Sonam Wangchuk, expressed gratitude for the large turnout at the protest and highlighted the importance of educational reform in India. The demonstration aimed at urging Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to step down over the NEET-UG paper leak issue and other examination irregularities. Clashes between police and demonstrators occurred at Jantar Mantar, with security forces trying to maintain order and prevent breaches of barricades.

The protest, which drew a significant crowd, saw heavy security measures in place with multiple layers of barricades set up by Delhi Police. Students and young protesters were visible at the scene, waving flags and chanting slogans. Despite attempts to breach barricades, police managed to push back the protesters to ensure order and safety.

Authorities enforced restrictions and deployed a riot control vehicle to manage the situation as tensions rose at Jantar Mantar. Police resorted to using force, including a lathi charge, to deter protesters from crossing security barriers. The security personnel’s efforts aimed to prevent the demonstrators from accessing restricted zones, leading to a tense standoff.

Signal jammers were utilized by police in the protest vicinity, causing disruptions in mobile phone connectivity for some protesters. The confrontation between security forces and protesters persisted as authorities worked to maintain control and prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
