Three individuals, namely Shneh Kumar, Raj Kamal, and Praful Kumar from Ibrahimpur village in Patna, surrendered before a court in response to police pressure. They are linked to a shooting incident on February 11 that left one person severely injured due to a land dispute. A special police team, led by City Superintendent Bhanu Pratap Singh, facilitated their surrender following continuous raids.
The accused surrendered at the sub-divisional court in Danapur after facing heightened police scrutiny. Shneh Kumar and Raj Kamal were granted police remand for further questioning. Shneh Kumar disclosed the location of the weapon used in the crime, leading to the recovery of a pistol and two live cartridges from his residence in Ibrahimpur village. The recovered items have been confiscated as evidence.
Patna Police have initiated a separate case at Naubatpur police station regarding the seized weapon, under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Investigations are ongoing as part of the police’s zero-tolerance approach towards criminal activities. Meanwhile, the injured victim is receiving treatment at Patna Medical College and Hospital and is expected to be discharged soon.
