Three children tragically lost their lives after drowning in an artificial pond in Dwarka, Delhi. The incident took place at a site in Sector 24 where a golf course is under development on Delhi Development Authority (DDA) land. The police received a PCR call at around 7.07 a.m. reporting the drowning of the children in the pond within the golf course premises.
Upon reaching the scene, officials discovered three children, aged between 8 and 10 years, submerged in the pond. With the help of the fire brigade, the children were taken out of the water, but unfortunately, they were pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations indicate that the children might have entered the area by climbing a boundary wall in the evening.
Authorities found the children’s clothes outside the pond, suggesting they may have gone there to bathe and accidentally drowned. The police are currently working on identifying the children, and no missing persons report matching their description has been reported yet. Further investigations into the matter have been initiated by the police.
