Three individuals lost their lives, and three others sustained serious injuries in a tragic road accident in Patna district. The incident occurred in Byapur village when an overloaded auto-rickshaw collided with a car, causing the driver to lose control and the vehicle to plunge into a roadside ditch. The auto-rickshaw, carrying ten passengers, then came into contact with a live low-tension electricity line, leading to the fatalities and injuries.
As the news of the accident spread, a large number of villagers and family members of the victims rushed to the scene. Local residents promptly alerted emergency services and the police. Upon arrival, the police coordinated with the electricity department to ensure the safety of the area by disconnecting power to the overhead line. With the help of villagers, the auto-rickshaw and the injured passengers were rescued from the ditch.
The bodies of the deceased were taken for post-mortem examinations after legal formalities were completed. The Station House Officer confirmed the identities of the deceased individuals and stated that an investigation into the circumstances of the accident has been initiated by the authorities.
