Three Killed in Bihar Road Accident on the Way to Ceremony

Celebrations turned tragic for two families in Bihar’s Nawada as three individuals lost their lives in a fatal road accident while en route to a ‘Tilak’ ceremony. The incident occurred near Katghar village under Sitamarhi police station area late on Saturday, leading to profound grief among the affected families and the local community.

The victims, residents of Gayaji district, were traveling from Rivala village to Mohgay village in Nawada district to participate in the ceremony when the accident took place. Riding on a motorcycle, the trio met with the unfortunate accident as they approached Katghar village, where the rider lost control and collided with an electric pole, resulting in their immediate demise.

Identified as Sonu Kumar, Pratap Kumar, and Indal Manjhi, the deceased included an uncle and nephew duo, with the third individual accompanying them to the event. The tragic loss of two family members has left their relatives devastated, with the bodies being taken for post-mortem examination at Nawada Sadar Hospital following police intervention.

The motorcycle involved in the accident has been confiscated for further investigation as authorities work to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal crash. The somber incident has brought together a large gathering of villagers and relatives at the accident site and later at the hospital, enveloping the families in deep sorrow and shock.
