A tragic incident occurred in Khairpur Kadwa, Bihar, where three laborers lost their lives due to suspected toxic gas exposure while cleaning a septic tank. The accident took place in Purva Tola, Ward No. 3, at Jwala Yadav’s residence around 8:30 A.M. during ongoing construction work.
The workers entered the septic tank and were overcome by poisonous gases, leading to their collapse one after another inside the tank. A fourth individual raised an alarm when the workers stopped responding, prompting villagers to act swiftly. They broke a portion of the wall to rescue the men and rushed them to Naugachhia Sub-Divisional Hospital, where all three were declared dead on arrival.
The deceased, identified as Bam-Bam Mandal, Jaynandan Mandal, and Shrilal Mandal from Lachhminia village, were taken to the hospital after the police were informed. Post-mortem examinations have been completed, and the bodies have been handed over to their families. An FIR has been filed against the house owner, and investigations are ongoing to determine safety lapses and accountability in the incident.
