Three youths tragically drowned in the Haldhi Vaagu stream near Nacharam in Telangana’s Siddipet district. The victims, identified as Yerragolla Prasanth (27), Vikas (26), and K. Anand Reddy (27), were residents of Narsapur village in the same district. Despite not knowing how to swim, they ventured into the stream after visiting a temple and attending a friend’s wedding. Their bodies were discovered the following morning after they failed to return, prompting a search by friends.
In separate incidents, three individuals sustained injuries in a road accident near Venkateshwarlapalli in Koheda mandal of Siddipet district. A DCM van carrying mangoes overturned, causing injuries to the occupants. Additionally, a private travel bus collided with a DCM vehicle in Suryapet district’s Dwarakunt area. The bus, en route to Vijayawada from Hyderabad, collided with the DCM vehicle, resulting in minor injuries to some of the 30 passengers onboard. Police suspect the bus driver may have fallen asleep, leading to the collision. Authorities have initiated investigations into both accidents.
