Three young individuals tragically lost their lives in a hit-and-run incident in Raichur district, Karnataka. The victims, identified as Mohammad Ali (24), Noor Mohammad (19), and M. Fayaz (26), were residents of Sukhani Colony in Raichur city. The fatal accident occurred when a truck collided with their motorcycle while they were en route from Basaveshwara Circle to Chandramouleshwara Circle.
The impact of the collision was so severe that all three victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The truck driver did not stop after the accident but instead fled the scene. The truck was reportedly traveling from Lingasaguru Road towards Ganj Circle.
Authorities have initiated a search for the truck driver who absconded following the tragic incident. The Raichur City Police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) regarding the case and have commenced an investigation. The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) for post-mortem examination.
Police are currently probing whether the accident resulted from a head-on collision and are looking into the possibility of reckless and negligent driving as contributing factors.
In a separate incident, a two-year-old boy named Trishan lost his life when a speeding car collided with a stationary scooter from behind in K R Pura. The child, from Venkatala in Yelahanka, was traveling with his relative when the tragic incident occurred.
Additionally, the Sadashiva Nagar police in Bengaluru apprehended a 23-year-old software engineer, Sukrit Keshav Gowda, for his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run case on New BEL Road in the city back in November 13, 2025. The engineer reportedly struck a scooter carrying a family of three, causing them to fall onto the road divider before fleeing the scene.
Moreover, Kannada actress Divya Suresh was implicated in a hit-and-run incident in Bengaluru’s Byatarayanapura on October 4 of the previous year.
