Three youths lost their lives, and one was critically injured in a tragic road accident in Bihar’s Jehanabad district. The incident occurred near Kathhar Bridge on the Patna-Jehanabad main road when a speeding car collided with the bridge divider after swerving to avoid another vehicle. The impact of the crash was so severe that the car was completely wrecked.

The deceased victims, identified as Sonu Kumar (21), Rohit Kumar (22), and Uddeshya Kumar (18), were cousins from Teni Bigha village in Jehanabad district. They were returning home after attending a Tilak ceremony in Punpun block in Patna district when the accident happened around 3:00 a.m. Another youth, Suraj (19), sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

In a separate incident on the same day, a teenager lost his life, and three others were injured in Sheohar district after their speeding motorcycle crashed into a tree. The accident took place near Nayagaon under the Shyampur Bhathan police station area along the Sheohar-Madhuban road. Anmol Kumar, one of the riders, succumbed to his injuries at Sarojini Sitaram Sadar Hospital, while the other injured teens received medical care at various hospitals.

The tragic incidents have left families and communities in mourning, underscoring the perils of overspeeding on Bihar’s roads.
