Tilottama Sen Clinches Gold in Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions at National Shooting Championship

Tilottama Sen secured the gold medal in the women’s 50m rifle 3 Positions final at the 68th National Shooting Championship Competitions in Bhopal. She finished first with a score of 466.9, displaying a composed performance that outshone her competitors.

In the qualification round, Tilottama led the pack with a score of 591-29x, showcasing remarkable consistency across all three positions. Following closely behind was Vidarsa K. Vinod from Kerala with 462.9, earning the silver medal, while Ayonika Paul from Railways clinched the bronze with a score of 451.8.

Anushka H Thokur from Karnataka narrowly missed a medal in the final, finishing fourth with 441.2. The junior women’s 50m rifle 3P event saw Rituparna Satish Deshmukh from the Army claim the gold medal with a score of 458.6, after a well-paced performance that elevated her from fourth place in qualification.

In the team events, Rajasthan secured the gold in the senior women’s 50m rifle 3P team event, with Karnataka topping the junior women’s team standings. The competition witnessed intense battles and impressive performances across various categories, highlighting the talent and skill on display at the championship.
